I have updated my drivers, repaired my registry, ran multiple check disks, scanned my computer in safe mode using avast, and defragged my computer in safe mode. i dont ahve any bad sectors.
oh yeah i forgot to say that...
When i first join a game or create game on cod4 it is really choppy and when i play prototype i only get 20 fps when i know i should be getting more than that... turning my graphics settings down doesnt help at all.
Um, I remember on cod4 that I had the same problem. I had changed my power plan to "low power" or sumthin' so I changed it back to max whatever and it worked. Hopefully that sorts it, otherwise I'm puzzled.
I was watching my framerate on cod4 when it lags for the first minute or so and i noticed that when im sitting still it will start at 60 fps then drop to 43.3 and it will do that the entire time it is choppy as long as im sitting still. so im wondering if getting some more RAM would help or if i need a better power supply because everything else in my comp is just fine. btw my power supply is 350W
