solved i took the wrong motherboard manual, this is a 939 motherboard (DUH).

According to the ASUS site, that MB will only support dual core.

Wow, talk about over complicating things. NO, it won't work. The board is a 939socket and the processor you posted is an AM2 processor. Completely different. At this time I'd say good luck trying to find a faster 939 processor.......... or even one that is affordable. Save up for a new system.

Yeah I must have chosen the wrong manual, it said that it was an AM2 mobo which i thought was wrong because it had my 4200+ in it, I made this post to clarify for that very reason.
