Hello everyone.

My parts came today, including my new hard drive for my new system build.

I thought I had ordered the 640 GB Western Digital WD6400AAKS but had instead by mistake ordered the 640GB Western Digital WD6401AALS.

Is it worth me sending back the WD6401AALS and exchanging it for the much better reviewed WD6400AAKS? Is there much of a difference between the two drives? Is mine the better or worse of the two?

Thanks folks.

Hehe, you have done alright there - you got the more expensive model with more cache - double the cache actually. As long as it works and the warranty still counts - stick with what you got - its faster, unless you need that £5.
