Hi I'm looking to buy a new desktop pc designed for gaming. I would like to know if the pieces I chose are ok. I'm not looking for a high-end pc, but I want it to last. I'm ready to pay about 1100 to 1300$ USD. Here are some pieces I chose up to now :

Processor : Intel Core 2 Duo E8500
Video Card : Radeon HD 4850 or GTS 250, I don't know
RAM : 2x2 Go Kingston Value Ram DDR2 800 MHz
HDD : WD Caviar, 320 Go, 16 Mo cache SATA-II
Motherboard : Probably the Intel P5Q-E or Pro
Alim : I don't know, probably something that costs around 85$
Case : Antec Nine Hundred

I'd like some advices on pieces I'm not sure of or if some don't fit.

Thanks

$1100-1300 pumped into a gaming rig you'd best have a GTX 275/HD4890/HD4770CF at the very least to hit where it counts for me Here is one at a far cheaper price point $686 with shipping less MIR

go with batuchka's build but with a 790FX AM3 motherboard, 4GB 1600mhz ddr3 memory, a corsair 750TX, a CM 690, a WDC black 640GB and an extra 4770.

maybe add in a nice cooler if you have the cash left.

For that price, you could get an i7 920 or x4 955 AM3 build, why settle for an e8500?
