For the life of me I can not get the front panel sound/mic to work. The best I can do is to use HD Audio and plug in the HD Audio into the Motherboard. I get sound over speakers this way.

However I can not get the front panel sound or mic to work in any configuration regarding HD Audio / '97 plug and the motherboard bios settings (enable/disable HD)

I'll take HD or non HD as long as I can have working sound & mic on the case and mb.

Any ideas?

I am certain I am doing something wrong, just not sure what it is.
