Ok,

I purchased two seperate DDR2 sets of 2GBx2=4GB Kingston Hyper-X RAM.

1. KHX6400D2K2/4G @ 1.85v
Registering in BIOS as DDR2800 6.0-6-6-18

2. KHX6400D2K2/4GR @ 2.0v
Registering in BIOS as DDR2667 5.0-5-5-15

You'll notice that Kingston is advertising them both as 6400 RAM, using almost the same SKU except for the additional 'R'.

Is this technically the same "speed" RAM because of the timing differences?

I would also like to point out that the '4G' RAM is listed on Kingston's website, but the '4GR' is not.

If someone could shed some light on this, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Peter D.

Configure the voltage of the 4GR to 1.85V, and set the timmings 6-6-6-18.
