Seems to oc a tad higher, which is really whats important to us here.
For average Joe? It means competing perf in many things at stock against anything else out there. He wont be able to tell the difference from anything he buys.
This is good news for AMD, as average Joe remembers everything Intel, including clock speed importance

Meh. Its just a 955 clocked higher. I am waiting to see true performance improvements. Thats what i am waiting for from both sides or at least see what i5 can really do as that may be my next step.
Im hoping i5 clocks higher, as i7 isnt for gamers really, and gamers always love higher clocks.
This will help AMD, just the numbers alone, and the majority of buyers/users will benefit

I just saw the Tom's Hardware article about the Phenom II X4 965 BE.
Great article by the way.
From their links and their simulated test about Intel's upcoming Core i5 especially that 95 watt TDP i5-750 model at $196 expected to be released Sept 6,2009,the 750 is going to blow AMD's Phenom II quad cores away. The only recourse that I can see AMD doing is to price their newly introduced 140 watt TDP 965 BE under $170 or perhaps even $150.
