Hi, I have a 42' Sharp Aquos 1080p tv, and a gaming machine with an Asus EAH 4870 1GB video card in it. Ive been trying to display on the TV, but I can't seem to get a resolution that works properly. I've literally tried every single reso, and I still can't get it to fit the whole screen. The viewable area looks OK, except that there are blue lines anywhere there is black displayed. The non-viewable area around the outside also has these blue lines.

I am connecting using a high quality DVI-HDMI cable.

Funny thing is my laptop with a cruddy integrated card looks amazing @ 1280X768 on the same TV.

So you've tried 1920x1080? Use CCC I find it easier to work with for HD resolutions, try a resolution like 1366x768

1080p = 1920x1080
720p = 1366x768 (768p?)

No the 1366x768 is 720p I'm pretty sure.
