Hi I am trying to build my first desktop computer and i am also very confused on what goes great with: XFX nForce 750i SLI Motherboard[/u] w/ 9600 GSO - XFX GeForce 9600 GSO, 768MB PCIe, (2) Dual Link DVI, HDTV/S-Video. URL:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4459418&Sku=B69-2038
So as you can see i am screwed. Can you guys help me? I choose this mother board so that i can play computer games, movies, music, online videos, and do some video editing/Graphics design. i would like to push this motherboard to it's full potential without having to overclock. I would like to have many windows open without slowing down.
I know i needed to get lots more like: windows XP, moniter, keyboard, mouse, ram, dvd drive, power supply, and about everything that completes an awesome computer. Do you guys have any suggestion? I am also looking for great deals too on any of your suggestions.

What's your budget, and do you need an operating system (Windows) and a monitor included in your budget ?
What is your budget? Do you have the LCD (what resolution), mouse, keyboard?
The q9550 should be sufficient for your needs. If you already bought the 750i.
If you did not already buy the motherboard then get a x4 940 with a 790gx motherboard.
For gpu I think the gtx 260 core 216 is the best for you if it is in your price range. If not the 9600gt, gtx 250 are also good options.
Psu any Corsair, Power and Cooling, OCZ, Ultra, Thermaltake psu's with more than 600w (single gtx 260) or 700w (gtx 260 sli) should be sufficient.
Hope this helps you Tony Tone!
LOL...he hasn't even posted his budget. If he can afford it I'm going to post an i7 build for him. No need to go with some AMD build if he can afford an i7.

Of course, by all means. If he can afford a i7 build go with that. Just beacause he mentioned the 9600gso I figured is budget may not be very high, or he may just not be much of a gamer.
