9600 psu help please

Why not. . . what do you recommened i should upgrade to with that power supply and that curent rig?

I dont really have money to splash out on a better psu atm :(

It isn't much of a performance difference.
Well, your PSU isn't too bad. If they had them in stock, you could go with a 4770 and not have any worries, but it just so happens that they don't :(.

Yh i reliased that..how about a 4830? do you think that would show a bit of a boost in my gaming. . i do not generally game any more that at 1280*1024..but my 8600gt just cant keep up any more!

9600gt is almost 2x 8600gt. 4770 is abt 1.5x 9600gt at that res. See what is priced what and decide. Both will use max 80w at full load. And yes, your psu has 25A at 12v and with > 80% efficiency so it's enough for any of above mentioned cards.

i thinkk the 9600gt is a reasonable price performance gpu and itll do till summer 2010 where i dont mind upgrading again :D was quite funny i was actually thinking about purchasing a xbox b4 this lol

Well if you don't mind having to upgrade in a little while then by all means, go for it.
