Hey all ...

I apologise if this is in the wron gsection ... I wanted 2 find out how I can flash my bios ... how do I check my version etc ... ... I have never flashed a bios in my life ... ... what are the pro's and con's of doing it ?? ... ... sorry if this is a noob question and all advice is welcome ...

It's not recommended if you are not having issues, one missed step and you'll render your MoBo lifeless!!
But if you need to up-date it for say, a new CPU or on-board video/sound then list your hardware specs. and I'm sure someone with like components will chime in to help you.

Most motherboards will come with a utility that will read, backup and even load new BIOS. Like others have said, you only should do it when you have a problem. For any more info you will have to give system specs.

Wait ... lol .. if u say its not recommended then I would rather not risk it ... my pc is performing as well as it should 4 how old my system is ... ... I just though that updating everythin was a good idea ... Thanks 4 the heads up !!
