Running windows off sata vs ide

Hello,
I'm setting up a new computer with a SATA 3.0 10000rmm HD -- question: If I run an IDE 7200 spin also, will it slow down my machine ? I will put windos 7 pro on the SATA drive

It won't slow the system down as long as you only use it for storage ( music ,movies, documents, pics), but if you put some apps or games in it those specific app will take longer to load.

As long as the OS and apps are on the sata it won't slow down
