Remember, we can't read your mind :) so you have to tell us information that we need to help you.

What is the make and model of your

  • sound card
  • motherboard (mobo)
  • speakers?

How many speakers are you trying to connect? How are they connected to each other?

How have you connected your speakers to your PC; which connector? Audio-out is usually green.

Which version of windows are you running?

Have you opened the volume application and made sure that mute is unchecked and that levels are > zero?

Have you connected your speakers to another PC to confirm that they work?

PC speaker impedance is usually 4, 8, or 16 ohms. What is your speaker's impedance?

EDIT: Fixed typo on Audio-out.
