Dell dimension 8400 fault. No diagnostic lights are on

Hi, I came across a Dell Dimension 8400 today at the recyclers. But when I try to power it up nothing happens. I have looked on the back and none of the 4 green lights are on! Is the power supply unit faulty? There is 1 small green light on, on the motherboard, and above it reads "aux pwr"!

I wasn't going through bins, afriend of mine has a electronics recycle plant, so I'd thought I'd try one because its better than my old GX270 I'm using at the moment! I've tried power supplys from 4 of these, then tried all 4 motherboards with all 4 power supplys, no go! Must be why they are there for recycling!
