I am about to order the components for my first build and was hoping someone out there would be kind enough to give me some input. I would be using it for light gaming, multimedia and lots of photoshop projects. The list is as follows:
Sorry this is my first post and i only just saw the how to post template. I'm looking at spending no more than £450 ex vat or less preferably. I forgot to mention in the original post that I am restricted to using misco.co.uk which is kind of a pain but they have a fairly good selection. Also i intend to dual boot ubuntu 64 and vista 64.

The misco site is a bit different to what Im used to . I have put together a build using AMD'd latest triple core processor on an AM2+ platform . This is a fair bit more powerful than the first generation Phenom quad you picked out .
I dont know how to make Pound so Im just calling them dollars
Cheers for the input after doing some reading I decided to go for the components you suggested
Phenom II seems to be good value for the price. Was unsure about using radeon gfx cards as i have had trouble getting linux drivers to work before but the 4770 had good reviews from other ubuntu users. Only one question really, Will the psu be able to handle 4 HDs as i wouldn't mind clearing some desk space by putting my external storage drives in the tower? Either way the order has been made So many thanks to both outlander and helloworld for your suggestions I will post once the build is complete, hopefully things wont go horribly wrong.
