Hey everyone,

I am new to this website and I am sure you get these types of questions all the time. I am currently looking to buy a new laptop since my acer travelmate 4670 overheat all the time even with a cooling pad. Plus I have had countless problems with acer as a whole.

I use my laptop for school so battery life is nice, but I also use it for games like WoW.

I have a price range between 600 to 1000.

I am open to all suggestions and I am currently looking at 3, an HP and a Toshiba and a Dell.

Toshiba: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspag [...] 8093379440

HP: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspag [...] 8101178783

Dell: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspag [...] Id=9353371

If anyone could give me input I would greatly appreciate it.

The reason I posted it under the CPU forum was strictly for the processors of both of them, I do not understand the difference between the T series and the P series. I also saw a few AMD's but I heard they make laptops run hot.

don't buy off off of bestbuy, those laptops have 6 month old tech selling for premium prices

shop on tigerdirect or newegg unless you want WoW to run like a slideshow as you run around in stormwind

The P series have 3-6 mb L2 cache while the t6500 has 2mb, but other t series have 3-6 mb as well. All the P series use a 1066 fsb, while some of the t series use a 800 fsb. The P series also have a lower tdp which means they save more power. If you want to know more look at this.

Personally I would probably go with the Toshiba because you can't game with Intel graphics and it is also the cheapest, but for battery life it will probably be shorter. You may want to buy an extra battery if you get the Toshiba.
