I am currently looking into parts for a new gaming rig.
This is what I have so far.

specs:
Asus p6t deluxe v2 mobo
core i7 920 cpu
Corsair Dominator 6GB (TR3X6G1600C8D) ram
Corsair TX750W Power Supply

Now, I don't plan on doing anything in crossfire or sli mode.
My monitor has a native resolution of 1680 X 1050.

So, I am looking into the Sapphire radeon 4870x2 vid card.
I have been seeing many mixed reviews on this card - more pros than cons.

I was just wondering if this is going to be a good card for my build or if I should go with another vid card (if so, any input would be appreciated).

Also, is the PSU going to be enough power for this system?

Sorry for beating a dead horse if this is an old topic - I just don't want to buy a $400 BRICK.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help me out.

For your resolution a 4870 x2 is way over kill .

Have a look at the article on the home page called
"best graphics cards for the money "
and then buy yourself a 4890 or similar which is all you will need and more

you could drop down to the 650w if you got that gfx card too.

I have the same build with a GTX 260 and it works great for me, I wouldnt say the 4870x2 is overkill especially if you're going to be playing crysis. And 650w is more than enough.....enjoy

Thanks for the help everyone.
After a little more investigating, I think I'm going to go with a GTX 275

Thanks again for all the help
