I have this motherboard on my T5234 Emachine computer. But i can't find anywhere that tells me what the max Thermal Design Power
it will take. Can i use a 6000+ on it?

The chipset can handle the 6000+, but I believe Emachine is running a custom bios that may not.
The chipset will run any AM2 with a 1ghz/2000mt/s bus.

Thanks for the info. I went ahead an added a 5600+ instead. I saw that is was the same watt and didn't want to risk the 6000+ not working.

If it's the same as the MCP61PM-GM they use in the new ones (ET 1331G-03)
it should be 89 watts.
It's currently running a Dual Core 235e and I want to put a Quad Core 605e in it, both are rated at 45 watts, e stands for energy efficient
