Hard Drive question regarding motherboards

I currently have Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit edition installed on my machine. (listed in my sig)

I am considering getting an x58/Core i7 920

Will i be able to just swap my hard drive from one motherboard to another or do you thing a fresh inatall is at hand?

In the past i have been able to swap hard drives from one gigabyte motherboard to another (both LGA 775) but i'm not sure if i will be able to do this from LGA 775 to LGA 1366.

I was able to do this from an Asus P5K3 Deluxe, to my current Gigabyte EX58-UD5 board, but it's still hit or miss... try it and see if it works, but if not, you're going to have to reinstall 7.
