The other day my router decided to stop working for a few hours. Nothing on the network could connect. This happens to it every once in a while so I decided to see if it was the router or the modem that wasn't working. I connected straight to the modem and it worked.

The next day I set the router back up and it worked for everything on the network but my computer. I tried going back to the modem and it worked fine. But when I'm connected through the router, my computer doesn't even detect it at all. I've reset the modem and router many times, and I reset the router settings with the button on it. Using Windows 7 with a Linksys BEFSR41. Any ideas?

Try another port on the router.

Run the "ipconfig /all" command in a Command Prompt Window and see if your IP addresses
are correct.

Compare to the other computers that are working.
