$777 including shipping less that 22" LCD and MIR
As is overkill for 1280 x 1024 already hehe

It's not exactly what your looking for but give it a look anyways.

Here's a build that includes two 4770's running in Crossfire.

I'm confused with these suggestions of crossfire while you listed "MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1280x1024". That alone limits you to a mid-range CPU GPU as anything more powerful couldn't be oberved as aperfromance gain.

For this budget and to enjoy Crysis, I'm thinking an e8400 with a p45 chipset mobo for an easy 3.6 Ghz and a GTX 260. That's $400 for these three core parts.

Throw in this 23" monitor for $169 w/ free shipping

You'd still have about $300 for case, hard drive, ram, CPU cooler,...

Don't do any of the rebates. I am 0 for 3 last year and this year on rebates. The rebates are scams IMO.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-4770-crossfire,2288-6.html <---this is why I recommended the 4770 Crossfired....more fps = less stuttering/lag

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/multi-core-cpu,2280-10.html <--- Crysis = quad > dual core

Why do you want DDR3 RAM? Extra money for little advantage. Also people on this forum are trying to help you, don't be an idiot and try to act like you know everything. Also if your resolution is only 1024x760 you should get a new monitor.
