High temperatures?

my e5200 runs 39C at idle, but when i run prime95, it gets to 70C! is that way too high, or is it because prime95 pushes the cpu to its limit. btw mine is overclocked to 3.35 ghz @1.3v

If you're using the stock cooler with that overclock then the temps seem just about right to me.

If I remember correctly the thermal limit is somewhere around 85c. So your fine, you cpu will most likely never see that kinda workload in real life.

so with those temperatures and the overclock, will the longevity of my processor be significantly affected?
