I am looking to build a new system here in the next month or two.
I have never used amd before but for what I have read I can get more bang for my buck.
All parts will be from newegg.
I need a moniter 20 to 24 inches.
GPU
HIS Hightech H487QT1GP Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5
(But have looked at 2 4770, and will take suggestions)
Motherboard
ASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX ATX
CPU
AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz 3 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Black Processor
HD4770 wins of a single HD4870 1GB, thus upgrading later to 2 x HD4870 will win of the HD4770 in crossfire.
The rest seems to be pretty nice , but if I were you I would go for 2 harddisks, in RAID 0 or not , doesnt really matter to me, it's just that if the one fails you've got the other one with backups. I usy Synctoy myself for keeping the two maps synchronized.

The Pentium doesn't have bugs or produce errors; it's just Precision-Impaired.

Yes this is going to be a gaming /photoshop computer. I play mostly RTS and some FPS that I can not play on consoles. I just want a machine to play Starcraft II and dawn of war at good rates.
