Hi. I have a P5W DH deluxe mobo with a 2.4ghz core2 duo E6600 processor. I had 2 2gigs of DDR2 800 and I wanted to add 2 sticks of 1gig DDR2 800 to it. After I added one stick of ram, windows7 booted without problems and read 5gigs. Afterwards I added the 2nd 1gig stick and the mobo failed to system boot. I then tried different placement configurations to get all 4 sticks of ram to work without sucess. I then proceeded to take out the ram one by one hoping that the computer will boot correctly which it did not. Now my computer will not boot at all. I am not able to access the BIOS and nothing shows up on the screen when turning on the computer. I reset the CMOS and still nothing is showing on the screen. I am afraid I shorted the mobo. I turned off the power supply when installing the ram. Is my mobo a lost hope or is there any solution to this?

My second question is if my mobo IS fried I'd like to choose a new proper motherboard. My processor is a FSB 1066MHZ and I want a motherboard which says it supports 1600/1333MHZ. The pins match, 775, and the ram match as well, DDR2 800. Is it ok to put a FSB processor, 1066MHZ, to a mobo with a higher compatible FSB, 1600/1333MHZ??

This is my processor
