Card Reader

I have a USB 2.0 Multi-in-1 card reader with a 9 pin plug, where do I plug this in? The only spot inside is on my sound blaster plus board

You plug the card reader in the USB port, simple as. It doesn't make sense at all to plug it in the Sound card!

It is to be plugged on usb connection on the motherboard. It will have USB label printed next to the connector.

I am not talking about USB external connector.Is it a internal card reader? Are you trying to install on a desktop? What motherboard do you have?

On the motherboard there are USB connectors that consists of 9 pins, physical pins. Usually is close to SATA connections. It will have USB printed on the PCB board next to the pins.
