SM BUS Controller is not Generic for OS.

Your SM Bus controller is part of the Chipset. You will need to find the mfr and version of the the Chipset and then install that. probably will have to install it in SafeMode. Use utility like Speccy to find chipset info for your MOBO.

If there are no XP drivers listed for your system under your model on the Drivers and download page you will need to do this for all your drivers.

I did install the chipset driver and yet the sm bus controller still is not happy.

Then tell what chipset you installed the driver for, ATI?? Nvidia?? SiS?? Intel??
