Hi.

I can't understand what you mean with "unstable with stock cooler". what fan profile are you using?

Yeah, you can go higher with a voltage bump, but do it in little steps.

I mean for example if I go 690 it is not stable so I said If I buy another fan and with a bump voltage maybe I can raise a little the core and mem. clock and can you tell me how much can I raise?

Thank you

If you go for 690 and it's not stable, then, the problem is the voltage and not the fan.

I mean, what software are you using for overclock the GPU, not what is the end of overclock the GPU.

Uninstall one of those, both installed at the same time can give you problems.

I prefer Afterburner if you ask me, after that you need create a fan profile according to the temps of you GPU.

Usually if you can clock it faster if you can keep it cool. But if your running say 50C and your overclock is failing a new fan/cooler won't help you.

That said, OC'ing your GPU can only gain you a very little in performance. So, I would Not recommend spending money for a new fan or after market cooler for a 4850. Your money would be better spent selling the 4850 and replacing it with a newer and faster card.

If it has anything to do with Thermaltake, it's a BAD IDEA.
