E5300 VS Phenom II X3 720 BLK VS PhenomX4 9750??

E5300 + asus p5kpl-cm $100
720 BLK + biostar a760G M2+ $160
9750 + gigabyte MA74GM-S2 $170

I just bought the E5300 combo, but i found that windows 7 will have virtualization XP mode, and the E5300 does not support this function.
I am just thinking should I go for the AMDs?or Is there any good deal on CPU + motherboard?
Do 720BLK & 9750 support the XP mode function??
Which cpu is better?both for the price and performance.
I know E5300 can oc to 3.5 easily.

THanks

e5300 entry level core 2 duo being phased out . No chance of virtualising anything

720 be top of the range triple core from AMD's latest phenom series . Performabout the level of an e8500 . Ongoing support for the next few years . Supports virtualisation

9750 a chip that wasnt able to compete in its day and is now so very last year , but still stronger than the e5300 and capable of virtualising xp for you

The 720 is the pick of those processors .
Phenom ll is a far better processor than the original phenoms

I havent used a biostar mb , but some poster on this mb have said they were ok .
If you are after more performance look for a motherboard with a 790 series north bridge chipset and a 750 series south bridge chip as these over clock better . The 750 sb lets you over clock the 720 be to 3.6 - 3.8 Ghz
The 760g looks like a decent budget choice though and it should still perform well
