I want to play Crysis 2 max on 1920x1080 monitor. I know in order from least to greatest but I'm not sure whether its worth spending from $200 for the 6870 to get a 6950 for $220 or whether it would have an effect now or in the future to get 2gb for $245.

Thanks and if there's a better option I'm all ears. I will be crossfiring next year or later so keep that in mind.

You can see stock to stock comparison here
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/203?vs=100
You can use this guide to unlock a 6950 to a 6970 however a few people reported rendering errors

If i were you id get the 6950 regardless, unlock it test it, if u had a prob and u prob wont then u could return it or just flash it back to normal.

Can I run both on an xfx 750w psu? (x4 965, and 4gb ram)

I think whether I choose MSI or Powercolor is which one can give me the most in terms of stickers and extras lmao.

Measured power consumption R6950 1GB

System in IDLE = 178W
System Wattage with GPU in FULL Stress = 312W
Difference (GPU load) = 134 W
Add average IDLE wattage ~ 20W
Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 154 Watts

It might work.. i ran antec and it said u only need 550 watts, but the chart i found said 1 card uses over 300 under load, using that info id recommended like 1000 plus

Yessir, I checked on that website. It says 642w for 6950 crossfire vs 815w for 6970 crossfire. But if I unlock a 6950 to a 6970 it would still require less watts right? Thus 750w should be enough. If not I'll probably get the 850w

I'll just go with an xfx 850 watt. I don't get how to flash it though. Do I switch the mode from 1 to 2 on the card when I'm building my pc? Idk I'm lost...
