When I startup my computer it restarts automatically right before I get to the user logon page. And when I try to do a safe boot it also restarts automatically. Also tried a memory check and nothings wrong. I dont have the smallest clue to whats happening with it. Can someone help?

Thanks

If you have a SATA hard drive it might need to be in legacy mode or AHCI, but somebody would have had to change that in the first place, just a thought.

Unplug it for a bit (let it discharge ~20 seconds) then try again.

Try reseating the RAM

Reseat the graphics card

Windows might be corrupt.

The "READ before posting about boot problems!" sticky would be the first place to start.

First i'd read the link shortstuff posted....very valuable tid bits of knowledge in there.

Is this a new pc? Just started happening out of the blue? You might have corrupted your Master boot record. Have you tried formating and reinstalling windows? Or have you tried doing a repair of your windows installtion?

It isn't new but I just reprogrammed it last week.

when you say reprogrammed...do you mean reformatted aka completely whiping out everything and reinstalling windows from scratch?

Are you using a valid copy of windows?

if you have formated and reinstalled windows then not dong the updates from before should matter.

Did this issue start as soon as you installed the fresh copy of windows or did it start after?

I would boot off the cd and tap f5 when it's booting. This will boot you into recovery mode for windows. Then do check for errors and fix (or something like that?). This might fix your problem.
