Not sure where else to post this...

I've got an Intel DP35DP mobo and an Asus EN9500GT Graphics card with a HDMI port on it.

now the problem is, my MoBo doesnt have an s/pdif header to connect the graphics card to, so I dont get any audio through the HDMI port.

The MoBo has an s/pdif output on the back.

Is there anyway that I can get the audio to be passed though the HDMI port?

I'm pretty sure the short answer will be NO..
But i'm interested in the Long answer too if it ends with YES! :)

will an aftermarket soundcard help?

Yep, get a sound card with spdif connector on the PCB. I don't think it's worth the money or effort cuz the onboard sound is probably as good or even better. Unless you're aiming for a high-end sound card.

My opinion is that you should just hook from the mobo's audio out jack to a speaker system which you probably own. Costs your zero. Most TV built-in speakers are crap.

I probably will somehow use the digital out.. problem is, my tv doesnt have a digital IN...

so i'm buggered either way..

is there any way of looping the output back into the input on the graphics card?
