Are mp3 players not compatible with Windows xp?
I don't know which brand my mp3 player is either.

I have had a windows xp computer for a few years, from half way through 2010 my computer wouldn\'t read my mp3 player even though it was clearly connected. A few weeks ago this happened to my friend to, she has the same computer as me. Help!!

XP will run pretty much any hardware, even most new stuff. Try your player on another PC, chances are, it's the player that's having issues. Try a different USB cord, see if there are drivers you may need to load or update from the player vendor.
