I don't know which brand my mp3 player is either.

I have had a windows xp computer for a few years, from half way through 2010 my computer wouldn\'t read my mp3 player even though it was clearly connected. A few weeks ago this happened to my friend to, she has the same computer as me. Help!!

    On the left side - speccy FREE
    scroll down and download from file hippo or
    go to filehippo.com and download it.

    Free version has no support, but you won't need any !
  5. XP will run pretty much any hardware, even most new stuff. Try your player on another PC, chances are, it's the player that's having issues. Try a different USB cord, see if there are drivers you may need to load or update from the player vendor.
