So I have a Biostar TA890FXE mobo and just changing the multiplier I can get from 3.4 to 3.7ghz. With each step I tested it with 3d mark 11 and prime 95. Up to 3.7 I see increases in my 3D mark 11 score ( 4660 ish) If I step it up to 3.8 it stays at the same score and if I go to 3.9 it goes down to 4630 ish. But at 3.9ghz it will pass prime 95 test at 4.0ghz i get BSOD lol. So does that mean anything past 3.7ghz I will not see any gains? Or am I doing something wrong. I havent messed with the voltage because it was passing prime 95 up to 3.9 and if im going to see worse performance at 3.9 than 3.7 why bother or would adding more voltage even though it is showing stable in prime 95 increase performance?

Solution
You usually can't get too much beyond the rated speed on RAM. We'll with a bit of a voltage bump you can get a little. And as you noticed, your RAM will & needs to run a the speed of the slowest sticks you have.

For an experiment, pull out your slower 9 CAS RAM. Then run the system at 1333 CAS 7, run 3.7Ghz/3.8/and 3.9Ghz now and see if you get any performance improvement. You could also try running that CAS 7 pair of sticks at a Little above 1333 too....

well funny you ask...... I have a sort of boot leg set up 4gb DDR3 1333 cas 9 and 2gb DDR3 1333 cas 7 I tried changing the ram speed to 1600 BSOD tried changing cas to 8 or 7 BSOD lol

Odd thing is I had the same 2 sticks in a POS prebuilt Lenovo mobo and it auto clocked them both to cas 8 lol no issues. If i set it to cas 8 on my new biostar it crashes lol. Do you think upping the voltage on the cup would help? The only rewason I didnt up it was because it was passing prime 95 but do you think a bump would have gave me more in the benchmarks or no?

I think I have the case in your pic is that a hal 922?
