Hi, I have A Dell C521 with a 280W Power Supply.
I currently have a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.00GHz,
and I want to upgrade to an

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ AM2 125W

But i'm afraid I don't have enough PSU to run it,
because I currently have an ATI HD 4650 Card in my PC, which uses alot of PSU.

So can I run it or not?

that power supply is already cutting it close with a 4650

and also, some boards can only support up to 95watt processors, try to get the 89 watt version, and even that might be too much

I know, but I 've been reading around the Dell forums, and some people say the can run a 9600GT with
Athlon x2 AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+.
I think its just graphic card manufacturers overrating the PSU requirments and dell underrating their PSU =/.

So how do I find out whats the max watts for a processor that my PC will support?
My manual won't say. Cursed Dell.

Well I checked
http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] 122-4.html

The list says my card uses about 69Watts under 3D Full Load.
Thats not that bad is it?

Well my pc would prolly run a:
Athlon 64 X2 5200+ 2.7GHZ 65W right?

Reply to Royal100

yip, try to stay at 65w
