CD Drive is VERY noisy

Hello,
Our DVD drive is very, very noisy - especially when Norton is running a scan. Any ideas as to how to fix this ?

if nothing loose, then it's the drive itself that is noisy. Only option is to replace it.

well, you can solve the norton problem by changing the paths to where norton scans. You really shouldn't need to scan cd/dvd drives unless you get a lot of suspect discs from unknown sources (or get lots of free "stuff").
