Fastest USB Format

My new flash drive just crashed and I have to reformat it and I was wondering what the best format for a usb drive is?

NTFS, if it's over 2 GB (this is not sarcasm - I don't know if it's a USB stick or a 1 TB SSD).
But face the possibility that it may never come back. Umm, are you sure that the drive itself "crashed?" Is it possible that you mean the OS on it died?

It works just fine, I reformated it unto a Fat32 format. Its 16 GB USB Flash Drive
