Which 9600GT is best? I've read reviews on XFX9600GT and Palit9600GT. I would like to know, which one would be more better, silent and good. What are other GPU choices on same price range? I'm Looking as a replacement for XFX7300GT on C2D E6600.

I do not know about where the system is used, but I would suggest you get the card with the best cooling, even a good cooler might struggle in the middle of an Indian summer.
Unless you have AC!

well it shouldn't be a problem if your case is cooled fine normally. What kind of cooling do you have? # of fans? if your case itself cools well, i wouldn't worry too much about the GPU cooler

If you can find one, then i would tend to agree with xyzionz, the 4770 may be your best bet. From what i understand (though i may be wrong) the newer 40nm-whatever will run cooler and take less energy than the current stuff. The 4770 will give you better performance than a 9600gt and the 4770 will ideally only get better as it is new technology that will have new drivers released as time goes on.

personally though, i use an MSI 9600, the red one not the ugly black one, and it does fantastic. I can play Fallout 3 will everything maxed out.

~i would really look into the 4770 for your application

yeah uncfan said what i was thinking. they have to send X amount to other countries. Sold out here doesn't mean it is there. That and i did say "if you can find one"

*shrug* not saying it's the best choice, but it is something to think about.

9600's really aren't bad for the price, if you get a decent one

Its wonderful... I haven't ever thought that a 9600GT could get with a 8800GT..... What about HD4770?

meodowla, this is ultimately your computer, and you will be spending your money and putting in the parts. We've given you a lot of good suggestions but you will need to do some of your own homework. You won't want to shuv anything in your computer you know nothing about.

There are plenty of benchmarks available and articles you can read about the 9600 and the 4770 8)
