Hello,
I was hoping someone could give me their opinion on the following system I was planning on getting:
Specifications:
AMD Phenom 9600 Black Edition Quad Core Processor @ 2.3Ghz Per Core Socket AM2+
4GB (2 X 2GB) Dual Channel 240pin DDR2 800Mhz PC6400 Memory
500GB SATA 3Gbps 7200RPM 16MB Buffer Hard Drive
Nvidia 6100 Chipset Motherboard with High Definition Audio, 10/100 LAN, SATA 3Gbps, USB 2.0
Nvidia GeForce 9800GTX / GTS250 512MB PCI-Express X16 High Definition Gaming Graphics Card
Dual Layer Multi-Format DVD/CD Burner
Apevia X-Discovery Mid-Tower ATX Case w/585W Power Supply, Front USB and Audio
Windows Vista 32 bit
Thanks!
The 9800GTX and GTS250 are the same really. The only thing I disagree with is hte Phenom. If you can spare a bit more, get either a Phenom II X3 or X4 because they are more worth the price.
Don't get 4BG of RAM and a 32 bit operating system because the OS won't be able to use all of it, only roughly 3gb. If you have the money, get 2 ssd's in raid0 instead of the 500 gb hdd. Or a cheaper upgrade is getting a newer gpu.
