I have a i7 2.67 CPU and a Asus P6T Deluxe V2 with a XCLIO Windtunnel case. I recently bought a ZALMAN CNPS10X Extreme 120mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler. This is the very first CPU fan I've bought and I'm having trouble fixing it to the motherboard.

It came with a 1366 mounting bracket but the motherboard screw holes are not aligned with the CPU cooler brackets. It can be mounted on one hole but the rest fall out of alignment or simply don't touch the other three holes. What I mean by holes are the four screw holes located near where the CPU covering is located on each of the four corners. The Cooler is i7 and 1366 ready.

If anyone has a similar build, any assistance is resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Right now, I'm thinking of returning it for a refund.

Are you positive you have the right bracket because it comes with 4 different ones for different architectures? If that isn't the problem, then you have to return it.
