I have a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog graphics card. At the moment i am not able to sli these two because it is not allowed in a dual screen situation. So i was wondering if i buy a dvi splitter and sli the graphics card will the screen be stretched onto two monitors or will it be mirrored?

OS: XP Professional sp 3
VGC: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Alpha Dog
MOBO: 790i ultra
CPU: quad core

could it be because my drivers are out dated or could it also be because i am using a converter for one of my monitors from a vga to a dvi?

also when i do enable sli on my nvidia control panel it asks me what my primary screen will be. I can only choose one and when i do the other screen goes blank and searches for a signal.

You should update to the latest drivers and no it wouldn't be caused by a dvi/vga conversion plug

According to the FAQ multi monitor support was added in the 181.xx series of drivers.
