My system is:
Amd phenom II x3 720be
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3
4gb of G skill 12800 (800mhz)
Coolermaster Scout case
500gb Seagate Hard drive
Asus ATI Radeon 5770 1gb
Corsair 650HX power supply

this is my first build, and i dont mess with the bios too much, but i use CPU-z and it says my ram is 10700 (667mhz) , when the advertised speed on newegg was 12800 (800mhz) and i want it to be at 12800 :D so im going to need some help...

can anyone help me get it to the right speed by telling me the path in the bios to increase the Mhz to 800?

Read the MB manual under BIOS setup. Jumperfree config in BIOS is one 'path'. Increasing the system BUS will increase the RAM speed also. ASUS has a forum dedicated directly to the MB. Posting there would reach others with precisely the same MB and familiarity with the different BIOS versions of that board..
