Hi I have a Rosewill 400W PS with these stats...Output: 400W Max.
+3.3V 20A, +5V 14A, +12V1 14A, +12V2 13A, -12V 0.3A, +5VSB 2.5A..running a AMD Kuma 2.7..1 sata hard drive..1 sata dvd-rom..foxconn MB with onboard sound/lan/video. Should I go for the 4850 or wait for the 4770 to come back into stock?

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/263847-33-4770-400w didn't you ask this already?

The 4770 is slightly less demanding being 40nm so if you are concerned about that crappy PSU you may want to wait for one. To be honest you really should just upgrade your PSU and then get either one but I realize sometimes funds are tight.

I asked about the 4770 but procrastinated and didnt buy one..now the 4850 is the same price or cheaper so I wanted to verify if the 4850 would work for me..

Now we wait for the countless forum members to start BITCHING about the rosewill psu...you should buy a better one when you have the chance though...

Either card is about equal...you can search up and find the pros and cons to each....

Oh I plan to get a better PS down the road a bit..I have about $100 budget right now to get a GPU..maybe a new PS later in the summer..

I don't think that thing can handle a 4850. The amps on your 12v rail are pretty low and it's a low quality PSU. A 4770 uses less power, but even that could be pushing it. Of course it's up to you if you want to risk turning your computer into a fried block of plastic and metal because the PSU blew.
