Im pretty positive im right i just need to make sure im not forgetting anything...

Iv got a monitor with one of those vga cables thats molded into it...so only a male vga cable runs out the back.....can i grab a female to male vga cable off of newegg and connect the monitors vga to this vga then plug it into my pc? that should work right...a google search brought nothing back so yeahp..

Agreed. Regardless of how much male-female action you do, the signal transmitted is the same.

At the very least, you won't lose thousands of dollars on your experiment.
