i had read this and i think ive done everything right
the prob is tht there r no beeps it just keeps flashin ... everything does the gpu included ... the fans r running ... i think it might be the ram ... i checked each ram individually

I was just going to say, check each DIMM individually. Hmm. Do you have a bent CPU pin? You'd have to remove the cooler and CPU to check, but just an idea.

Does the UD5 have an LED error display? does that give you any information, you could look up the code.

i think i might have shorted somethin cos one of the replies in tht thread says so :(

it powers on long enough for the leds and the fans to run for a few seconds but then goes off

the led just shows 88 which is because it just gets powered on i think

What if you try and boot it with no cards or anything plugged into it? Like take out your video card, unplug HD and DVD. Just to see if it boots and runs.

will try this later on ... right now i have other things to do ... thx a lot for the help

I've seen video cards that cause errors because the short the PCI-E bus.
