i have msi k9n ultra 2f mobo. it has pci-express 1.0 support. i wanted to update my vga. i bought one palit 8800gt sonic. but there is no signal on monitor. everything works fine, fans, hdd led. but no signal. i updated mobo bios. still same. is there a compability problem about palit and msi? vga is pc-ex 2.0 and mobo is pci-ex 1.0. is there any bios about fix this issue? i read that pci-express 2.0 support pci-express 1.x also

It should be backwards compatiable. Did you plug in the 6 pin connector?

yes i plug 6 pin power for vga. i think backward compatible issue. is there any fix bios for this issue?

I really doubt it. Make sure you have the latest BIOS though. You may have a bad video card. Can you try it on another computer to see if it works there?

i tried vga on another pc. it works. i tried lots of rams and systems. still works. i read pci-express 2.0 vga can not be support pcx 1.0 mobo. i will try to flash vga bios.
