You will have to burn an ISO Windows 7 RC DVD on a different computer first, then install it like any other OS. It will stop working in March of 2010, so you will have to buy the full OS then and do a complete reinstall then.

It is possible to upgrade from Windows 7 Beta to Windows 7 RC.
In the same manner we will supposedly be able to upgrade RC to Final.

http://www.lockergnome.com/blade/2009/04/08/windows-7-upgrade-beta-to-rc-to-rtm-milestone/

It in fact works for Beta to RC.
Edit: minclient for W7 RC x64 is 7077 not 7100

Also we will be able to migrate from XP to Windows 7 final. You can find the information at MSDN or Microsoft Technet. As the Final release date gets closer the more widely spread the info. will be.

Edit again: Here is the XP to Windows 7 how to.
