Archived from groups: alt.games.the-sims (More info?)
Ok, I've been avoiding the Maxis patch and using the original Sims 2
game for a while. In the meantime, I've installed many hacks and
hacked items. I made a backup of my MyDocuments/eagames folder (took
about half an hour...lol...downloads folder alone was 1.3 gigs) and
installed the patch. Started up the game and it crashed. Deleted a
couple of hacks that I suspected may be the culprits and started it
again. Crash.
I don't want to go through a 1.3 gig folder item by item if I can
avoid it. Anyone know of any conflicts that would cause the crash?
The primary one I suspected was the chatbug fix that I had installed,
but deleting it didn't cure the crash.
