My BFG 680i SLI motherboard failed on me and left me with an unusable RAID 0 on which I have much important data. I unfortunately slacked on backing everything up and have a lot of important data on there I wish to recover without paying $1500+ by sending it to a data recovery center.
Does anyone know the exact name of the raid controller chip on the 680i?
I have looked everywhere, and called BFG tech support, but can't seem to find it.
My hope is that I can find a third party PCI raid controller with the same chip or a compatible one.
The only other option I can think of is to buy another 680i board just to recover that data, and I'd just rather avoid that situation since buying a motherboard just to return it a few days later is not a great practice.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks
EDIT: If anybody living in the Boulder area has a compatible board and would let me pull my data off my drives using their board, I would be eternally grateful!
