I've noticed the three different types and wanted to know whether it matters which one I choose. Are ther any performance/compatibility differences? I have a MSI GD70.

The difference is not noticable as far as maximum capable data transfer rate. All are capable of 10GB/sec.

You did not list what MB you have. Run your MB through one of these RAM configurators and find compatible RAM guaranteed to work.

See specs under 'main memory'. Check with RAM configurators of RAM distributors for RAM tested and guaranteed to run in the board.
