it will play them well but what psu will you use?

but IMO unless you do video encoding. buy a amd P2 955 instead of the 9550 with a biostar TA790GX mobo if you want to OC or a gigabyte or ASUS 790gx motherboard if you don't and then some 1066mhz+ ram to go with it.

Maybe switch the gfx to dual 4770's, and the antec 900 is unnecessary, an antec 300 will do for even dual cards, or a CM 690 if you want 3 cards.

I would go with the 940+GA-MA790X-UD4P instead, much more for your money there. Then Dual 4770's crossfired or whatever is the best graphics config you can afford.

Your current setup would be alright, but not the best. Two 4770's would be much better than the 4870 and cost pretty close to the same.

Im with xthekidx on this

intels is over priced [ maybe they were expecting the big fine in the EU LOL ]
and you will have a better gaming experience with the phenom quad and by using the money you save on a stronger gfx card

keep the antec 900. you'll be happier with the more room and extra cooling. especially if you do what thekid said and get dual 4770's.

oh and i played crysis on the highest settings with a 4850 1 gig and it mostly ran smooth unless there was a bunch of explosions or shooting.

WHY dont you recommend 2 x 4770's?

They bench higher than a 4890 in most instances , and the current driver problems will be sorted shortly . Maybe even already

You should explain yourself when you make a statement like that otherwise people assume you don't know what you are talking about. I am one of these people. Two 4770's is the best value for a budget gaming rig, you can't get better graphics for the price.

Edit: Outlander_04 and I see eye-to-eye on many things. He beat me to it.
